Separation anxiety

I think the core of the problem is actually the obsession with what we can’t touch. I bet if we began dating Jennifer Aniston or Zac Efron, we’d see that they are in fact just regular people with regular problems – and probably, not all they’ve cracked up to be. It’s part of our human nature to see the grass as greener on the other side and it’s definitely not a fun way to live out our lives. One of the main reasons celebrities are so appealing to people is the fact they they are so far detached from our own lives – they are impossible to reach. Private parties, screenings, exclusive lifestyles and maximum security segregates them from the average person and the press definitely plays a major part in this. The press drives the wedge between their private lives and their normal relationships. If the separation between celebrities and us was minimized, then no doubt our obsession over them would decrease – they are suddenly obtainable. I think the two major factors which contribute to this separation is money and the press. Money drives people further away from the average life and the press drives people in to hibernate. Mo Money Mo Problems.

From this, those who aren’t apart of their high end social groups, including the press and news corporations either want to gain money from them or take them down e.g. Tabloids. We need to stop prying into their personal lives and it’s up to us to ignore the tabloids.
